Concert in the Park favorite Public Eye draws huge crowd to close the season

The Concert in the Park with annual favorite Public Eye drew hundreds of fans Friday and had dozens off their blankets dancing. The band, sponsored by Residential Pacific Mortgage, closed the concert season with top 40s and dance tunes. Public Eye has been performing at the event for eight years.

Teresa Gove took home an electric guitar donated and raffled off by Residential Pacific Mortgage.

A drawing was held every week for prizes donated by local merchants. This week's prizes and winners are: $25 Downtown gift certificates provided by the Chamber of Commerce Leadership program - Donna Healy, Jeanie Reitzell and Mike Bianco; Lube, oil and filter from Rynck Tire and Auto Center - Phil Mumler; Silver Jewelry Box from Hacienda Business Park - Linda Klinger and Ann Ayres; Free cut / style and 30 percent off spa services from Image Salon - Jeanie Boiteux; 50 percent off massage from World School of Massage - Mary Johnson; free tax planning from Fox and Associates - Lorraine Blakley; concert chairs donated by Valley Plumbing - Dorothy Scull, Michelle Arnett and Todd Evans; Free bottle of wine with purchase of dinner from Amarone's - Anne Toth; $50 gift certificate to The Farmer Restaurant at the Pleasanton Hotel - Gwen Herner; and a gift certificate for a free house call and physical exam for a pet from TriValley Mobile Veterinary Service - Doug Perreira.

The concert series is sponsored and coordinated by the Pleasanton Downtown Association. The Pleasanton Weekly was the media sponsor for the Concerts in the Park.
