Traffic on I-580 to be re-routed to on-off ramps during early morning hours at Fallon/El Charro roads interchange

Crews to remove temporary wooden framework starting at midnight tonight

Both directions of Interstate 580 at the El Charro and Fallon roads interchange will be closed in the early morning hours starting at midnight tonight as workers remove the temporary wooden framework under the newly expanded overpass.

The work will force the closure on westbound 580 between midnight and 3 a.m. and eastbound between 1 and 4 a.m.

Traffic will be detoured off the freeway at the interchange's off-and-on ramps. Access to Fallon Road and El Charro Road will be maintained. At no time will both eastbound and westbound 580 be closed simultaneously.

Motorists may experience minor delays during the temporary detours, with the work expected to be completed in the early morning Saturday.
