Services pending for young Dublin church counselor

Jeremiah Murray drowned scuba diving in Shasta Lake Tuesday

A houseboating trip for youth from CrossWinds Church in Dublin ended early after a 20-year-old counselor drowned, according to Shasta County Sheriff's Office.

Identified as Jeremiah Murray of Dublin, the young man was said to have vanished from some 70 minutes after he had gone scuba diving alone in the Chester Bay area of the lake. It was reported he had about 60 minutes of air left in the tank.

Church staff notified the parents and had the group return Wednesday afternoon.

Details for the services are being planned and are expected to be released soon, according to CrossWinds staff.

I knew Jeremiah from Foothills Bible Church in Littleton, Colorado where he moved from Cali. He was a volunteer leader for our small group. A great man with strong faith...I cant beleive he is gone.

Jeremiah, thank you for being there for me...see you in heaven man.
