Does the Pleasanton Weekly have statistics on Mr. Miller's pick performance?

Hi there...

I was 7 of 10 on Thursday and hit four of the first eight races Friday before I had to take off. If you like, I will be happy to update the results..

Friday update --

I finished hitting five out of ten for the day, moving last two day record to 12 out of 20, which is a pretty decent rate for handicapping.

Eighteen out of how many in the last three days?
The reason I ask is I'm planning my retirement and wondering if the track is a better source of income than the stock market.

To Mike,

Yeah, these days you are probably better off putting your money under the mattress than in the stock market. Or just buy Dennis a beer and learn his secrets.

Hi Mike,

I am hitting about 60 percent for the meet, which is considered good for handicapping. That being said, under no circumstances would I consider putting my retirement into gambling of any kind.... I agree with Qwerty about putting it under the mattress.

Qwerty -- As for coming to the track, get there at 11:15 Thursday and catch the handicapping seminar hosted by myself and track announcer Frank Mirahmadi. We always have a special guest and we go over every race on the card, offering our picks and an in-depth of every race.

So here is Sunday July 5th results. As far as Dennis listing three horses per race we will assume he's is listing in order of favorites. He picked 4 winners out of 12 races. He mentioned (as in out of the three he picks) 8 that won (including the 4 direct winner picks). He called three places(2nd) correctly and mentioned a total of 7. He called 3 shows (3rd) correctly.
So if you bet his three picks to just show (3rd place or better) you would hit 18 bets out of 36. If you bet all his picks as he called them you would hit 11 of 36 bets. This is helped by some he picked to place thatr actually won. He's an ok handicapper
