Two teenage girls were hospitalized last night after a vehicle struck them in a crosswalk near the Vintage Hills shopping center.
Officers responded to the scene around 7 p.m., where a 14-year-old girl and another who is 15 had been hit walking in a crosswalk, according to the Pleasanton Police Department.
Both girls were taken to ValleyCare Medical Center for treatment of their injuries, which were not life threatening, according to police.
The car's driver, 43-year-old Pleasanton resident Sandra Ogolin, was reportedly traveling at the posted 25 mph speed limit when she hit the girls. She was not injured in the crash.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident, and do not believe alcohol was a factor.
