Comerica Bank has opened its Pleasanton branch inside the historic Kolln Hardware building.
Yesterday, the bank sent out a team of its executives and managers to talk with small business owners downtown in an effort to reach out.
"We want to listen to small business owners," said Mike Fulton, who is the CEO and president of Comerica's Western market, and went on the walking tour. "In these tough economic times, we get our best insignt from our customers. That's why we have our senior managers joining local bankers to walk the sidewalks of places like Main Street in Pleasanton."
The meet and greet came just hours before the start opf First Wednesday that drew one of its largest crowds ever. The street party featured food and retail booths and live music in the Round Table Pizza parking lot by The Crisis.
Just a few blocks away, crowds packed the Pleasanton fairgrounds for the opening night of the Alameda County Fair.
