AC Transit fares increase today for first time since 2005

Adult bus fares going from $1.75 to $2, transbay fares jump to $4

Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District bus fares will increase today for the first time since 2005.

Adult bus fares will cost $2 instead of $1.75 while youth and senior fares along with tickets for people with disabilities will jump from 85 cents to $1.

The cost of 10-Ride tickets will rise from $17.50 to $20 and a monthly pass will now cost $80 instead of $70.

Transbay cash fares will rise from $3.50 to $4 and its 31-Day pass will rise from $116 to $132.50. However, monthly youth passes will still be $15 and monthly senior passes as well as passes for people with disabilities will still be $20.
