2.1 earthquake strike near The Geysers

Sonoma County tremblor nits northeast of Cloverdale

The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting an earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.1 struck this morning in Sonoma County.

According to the USGS, the earthquake struck at about 3:35 a.m. Sunday and had a depth of 1.2 miles.

The quake was centered two miles north of The Geysers and 12 miles east-northeast of Cloverdale, according to the USGS.
