Stanley Blvd. arroyo fire quickly extinguished last night

Youths seen fleeing scene., report says

Firefighters from the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department extinguished a blaze that broke out along the the Arroyo del Valle last night.

The fire was first reported at 7:09 p.m. behind the Public storage facility at 3716 Stanley Blvd, according to A-Shift Battalion Chief Joe Rodondi. Fire crews gained access to the wooded area from the 3900 block of Vine Street just off Vineyard.

Pleasanton Weekly photographer Jay Flachsbarth, who was on the scene, said it was reported that someone saw a couple of youths running from the area. No damage was sustained in the small fire, which was extinguished quickly.
