Hundreds of Tri-Valley cyclists observe Bike to Work Day

 

More than 400 cyclists visited the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Energizer Station event Thursday morning between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. That was up 30 percent from last year's event, according to Dublin economic development manager Linda Maurer. 

Dublin City Councilmember Don Biddle joined a handful of volunteers to distribute bags of giveaways and free refreshments to cyclists at the Dublin/Pleasanton BART Station. The Hacienda Business Park was one of the sponsors.

Throughout Alameda County, more than 9,600 cyclists took part in the one-day event, Maurer said.
