Scores wear decorated bras in walk through downtown to raise funds for breast cancer research

Funds raised go to Axis Community Health, Susan Komen for the Cure

Scores of women and men wearing decorated bras walked along Main Street Saturday night in the fourth annual Bras for the Cause breast cancer walk, hosted by Tri-Valley SOCKS.

Participants in the 10-kilometer walk raised funds to benefit Axis Community Health, which has offices and clinics in Pleasanton, Dublin and Livermore, and the San Francisco affiliate of the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

Last year, the walk generated more than $100,000.

Way to go Pleasanton !! I'm so proud to live in this great City.
Lost my sister-in-law to breast cancer no too long ago so this was a tribute to her from me. She was way too young to lose her life, family and friends. RIP Carmena

We volunteered along the route for the first time this year!

If you can't walk next year, support the program through donations and time. It was the best day I've had all year!

Thanks to all the walkers and organizers for giving us a smile as we cry for those we lost to breast cancer.
