Although Pleasanton and the Tri-Valley are expected to be mostly cloudy with a chance of rain today, a San Francisco airport duty manager has warned that passengers flying out of SFO should plan for up to 70-minute delays today due to rainy weather in the Bay Area.
As of about 8 a.m. there were no weather-related delays, duty manager Bob Rotiski said.
The Federal Aviation Administration has implemented a ground-delay program due to local weather, however, which will be in effect at SFO from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., he said.
The delays are only in place for short-haul flights.
