Police reopened a section of the Iron Horse Trail in San Ramon after the Walnut Creek bomb squad removed a possible explosive device found there this morning, according to East Bay Regional Park District police.

Police received a call at 8:19 a.m. reporting the device on the Iron Horse Trail near Alcosta Boulevard.

Police closed off the surrounding area and the Walnut Creek bomb squad responded to investigate the device.
