Several hundred children and their parents turned out Sunday for the 14th annual Neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt in Val Vista Community Park.
The event was sponsored by Realtors Dave and Sue Flashberger, whose Flashberger Group is affiliated with Keller Williams Real Estate. It started in 1992 with invitations to clients the Flashbergers had worked with, but since has spread to include the Val Vista neighborhood and others in Pleasanton.
The Palm Sunday event kicked off a week of special services and other events leading to Easter Sunday on April 8. Besides pony rides, a jump house and prizes, the Flashbergers again brought in Marlisa Zamora, also a former client, who dressed as the Easter Bunny and posed for photos with the children.
