Girls compete in Nor-Cal Winter League

18U Girls--Livermore

In a perfect first-round showing recently, Stoneridge cruised to a 10-3 splashing of Woodcreek-Roseville. Jenn Docto (Amador) and goalkeeper Caitlin Guidoux (Foothill) guided Stoneridge, Docto with three goals and Guidoux with six saves, including a one-on-one penalty shot. Liz Usedom (Foothill) netted a pair of goals while Marina Allen (Amador), Danielle Desmet (Amador), Alicia Harding (Foothill) and Kayleigh Foley (Amador) each added a goal. In the second game Stoneridge again played well enough for an 11-6 victory over Livermore. Usedom scored three goals while Allen, Kimi Kuritori (Foothill), and Heidi Reddig (Amador) each scored a pair. Docto and Carly Glogovac (Amador) added a goal each. 16U girls--Ohlone College

Jenn Docto (Amador) and goalkeeper Caitlin Desmet (Amador) lead Stoneridge to a split record Saturday. Stoneridge opened play with a 10-15 loss to BAGS. Scoring for Stoneridge was Docto with six goals, while Sarah Wetherell (Amador) netted two. Foley (Amador) pitched in with one goal. Defensive standouts were Desmet, with 11 saves in goal, and Kassie Novak (Foothill). In the second game, an 18-2 blowout of Renegade of Ohlone, Docto lead the way with nine goals, while Novak added three, Wetherell three, Foley and Glogovac each had one goal. Desmet stopped eight shots on goal. 16U Boys--Moraga

Alex Tomimatsu (Bishop O'Dowd) scored five goals in a close fought 8-7 victory of Livermore where Anthony Sanchez (Amador) stopped eight shots on goal. Brian Brearley (Amador) netted two while Bobby Barrett (Foothill) scored one. The second game proved more challenging as Turlock, known for their competitive tradition), swam to a 17-7 victory over Stoneridge. Brearley scored three goals and Tomimatsu two. Barret and Sam Lindley (Foothill) each added one while Kellock Irvin (Bishop O'Dowd) had an outstanding defensive performance. 18U Boys--Livermore

With a roster of mostly 16U players, Stoneridge gained valuable experience in losses to Livermore (3-16) and Turlock (3-15). On the day, Irvin scored five goals and Brearley one.
