ValleyCare Medical Center's Auxiliary is offering holiday gifts and a large selection of baked goods and candy today from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. in the hospital's main lobby, 555 W. Las Positas Blvd.
Workshop on gangs
A free workshop on how to recognize gang activity will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 at the Harvest Park Middle School multipurpose room. "Recognizing the Behavioral Signs of Gang Activity" will give families strategies for communication, facts about drug and alcohol use, information about gang activity and local resources. School administrators, police officers, counselors and community members will lead the discussion. Valley Concert Chorale to hold auditions
The Valley Concert Chorale will hold auditions by appointment for experienced singers on Jan. 9, 16 and 23, 2006 in Livermore. The Chorale is looking for singers who enjoy performing a wide range of music from classical to contemporary, from folk to jazz.
