Have you ever had a spooky experience? Asked at the Farmers' Market.

A few years ago, I had a "Silence of the Lambs" glow-in-the-dark mask. So I held it under a light and when the doorbell rang, I put it on, shut off all the lights and answered the door. I couldn't see out of the mask very well, but I heard the little kids screaming and crying. I ended up giving them extra candy and it worked out OK.

A couple years ago, the kids convinced me to go to Fright Night at the Pleasanton Fairgrounds. We went on a hayride, and I didn't expect these exotic dressed up actors to jump out at us during the ride. The chainsaw massacre guy climbed up on the trailer and started chasing me. The family had a good laugh.

Yes. I was playing the Ouija board with some friends. My girlfriend and I had a trip planned but nobody knew. The Ouija board told details about the trip, and told about spirits around us. Later, my cat started jumping around, like it saw spirits. Now I believe in the Ouija board.

Yes, I lived in an abandoned convent for two years. At one point, lights were turning on and off during the night, and I knew no one was in the room. It seemed deliberate, not like electrical problems. I could feel the hair on my neck standing up, like there was a presence, and I had to leave the room.

When I was 8 years old, we lived in Colorado and we were the caretakers of a three-story mansion. One day when we went in, we found red drops on the floor and a pair of socks. We called the police, but they didn't find anything or any way for anyone to get in or out. We were convinced it was a ghost. Later, we found out someone was living in the attic. -Compiled by Sandy Christman
