Goal is qualify for AAU tourney

The Tri-Valley Track Club is accepting applications for its cross country season. All youth between 7-18 are welcome to join the club and there are no cuts or tryouts.

Mike Burkholder said the club's goal is to have Tri-Valley youth athletes qualify for the AAU National Cross Country meet.

"We train three days a week for an hour and 15 minutes," he said.

"The Tri-Valley Track Club offers professional Olympic style coaching at a youth pace to help all athletes in any sport become faster, stronger and live healthier," he added. "We are here to help give athletes the opportunity to shine at cross country meets at the local, state and national level."

Practices for younger players begin at 6 p.m. at Sunset Park in Livermore while high school athletes begin at 7:15 p.m.
