(August 05, 2005) "What's on your summer reading list?"
Downtown Pleasanton
Jennifer Walling
Windmill Lane
I'm in a book club, so right now I'm 10 pages into "The Atonement" and I just finished "The Glass Castle" by Jeanette Walls. It was an excellent read about a woman in New York who was raised by homeless parents and now she is a columnist for MSNBC. I've recommended it to my 12-year-old daughter and to friends of mine who are grandmothers. Book clubs are great. I recommend them to anyone because it gets you out and reading in a social way.

I'm reading "The Millionaire Real Estate Agent." It's a nonfiction book about teaching yourself how to be successful in real estate. I'm also reading "Selling to the Affluent."

I'm reading children's books with my son who is 3 years old. We read a lot of books relating to nature, like "Big Backyard" and National Geographic books. I like a lot of nature reading, and he's into trucks and trains.

I don't read that much. I'm kind of a car junkie, so if I read, it's car magazines like "Car and Driver" and "The Automobile."

I have a 2 1/2 week old baby at home, so I'm not going to be doing much reading this summer.
