(July 29, 2005) Haggerty hosts 9th annual BBQ tonight
Alameda County Supervisor Scott Haggerty, whose District 1 includes Pleasanton, will hold his ninth annual barbecue and chili Cook-off from 5:30 to 9 p.m. tonight at the Fairgrounds Pavilion on Pleasanton Avenue.
Among the cook-off participants are local police and firefighters, with a social hour followed by a dinner of steak, chicken, various sides and ice cream.
Tickets to the event are $25, and $10 for seniors and children under 10 and may be purchased at the Fairgrounds or reserved by calling Chris Gray at (510) 551-6995.
Class of 95' celebrates 10 year reunion
The Foothill High School Class of 1995 will celebrate its 10 year reunion on Saturday, August 13 from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Blue Agave Club, 625 Main Street. 1st Wednesday Back to School Blues
1st Wednesday Street Party, 6 to 9 p.m., September 7 in downtown Pleasantonwith music by the Just Truckin band. Foods served at downtown restaurants or offered from street vendors, Livermore Valley wines, imported, domestic and local micro-brewed beers will be available for purchase in the beer and wine garden at the Round Table parking lot at the heart of Main Street.
Main Street will be closed from St. John Street to Old Bernal Avenue from 5 to 10 p.m. There will be plenty of off-Main Street parking available.
