(June 10, 2005) Dolores Theresa Reimer
Dolores Theresa Reimer, 65, passed away May 27.
She was born September 13, 1939 in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. She was a Livermore resident for 33 years.
She owned a business in Sunol called Sunol Corners and took part in the Business Guild of Sunol. She was very active in the Sunol Repertory Theater. She is remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and love for reading, her cat and her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Alvin Keith Reimer; daughter, Debbie Wright of Modesto; son, Raymond Reimer of Livermore; sisters, Shirley Christenson of Pleasanton and Rose Marie Richardson of New York; brother Michael Joseph Lucas of Florida; three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held at the Little Brown Church of Sunol. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Anthony Paul Ragone
Retired Pleasanton police officer, Anthony Paul Ragone, died May 29 at the age of 75.
He was born November 10, 1929 in Riverdale, N.Y.
He served as a Patrol Sargent in the Pleasanton police department, an Under Sheriff in Coos and Curry counties and Chief of Police in Gold Beach, Ore.
He loved to go crabbing in Charleson, Ore. And salmon fishing on the Rogue River in southern Ore.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Dorothy June Ragone; sons, Anthony Ragone of Tracy, Richard Ragone of Silverton, Ore., Kim Ragone of McMinnville Ore. and Michael Ragone of Bedford, Ind.; daughter, Sharon Adcock of Gold Beach, Ore.; sister, Elizabeth Trost of Lake Havasu, Ariz. and 12 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at Fry Memorial Chapel. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of Northern California, 105 S. Washington St., Lodi, CA 92540.
John Gassaway
John Gassaway died May 30 at the age of 69.
He was born February 15, 1936 in Tucson, Ariz. and was a Pleasanton resident for 55 years.
He worked as a custodian supervisor at the Alameda County Fairgrounds and owned and trained horses. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Tina Gassaway, of Pleasanton; son, Robert Gassaway of Mariposa; daughters, Carol Lloyd of Louisiana and Denise Collier of Texas; sister, Georgia Stoeckman of Arizona and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at the Palm Pavilion in the Fairgrounds. Donations may be made to the California Thoroughbred Horseman's Foundation, P.O. Box 660129, Arcadia, CA 91066.
Donald G. Regalia
Donald G. Regalia, 79, died June 1.
He was born in Pleasanton December 29, 1925 and lived in Pleasanton his entire life.
He graduated from Amador Valley High School in 1943. He was in the U.S. Navy and served in WWII. He was a member of Native Sons.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Maxine Regalia; sons, Donald Regalia, Jr. of San Francisco and Patrick Regalia of Mesa, Ariz.; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Ambrose Regalia, who died in battle during WWII.
The family held private services with burial in St. Augustine's Cemetery. Donations may be made to Angels Flight West, 3161 Donald Douglas Loop South, Santa Monica 90405.
