Pleasanton hosts 13th annual Antiques Street Faire
The semi-annual Downtown Pleasanton Antiques Street Faire will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday. This is the event's 13th year and over a mile of antiques and collectibles will be displayed by more than 425 professional dealers from all over the West.

join in 1st Wednesday street party next week
(May 27, 2005) Music lovers will want to attend Pleasanton's monthly First Wednesday street party next week with entertainment by reggae band Red Di. The band will play from 6-9 p.m. in the parking lot at Round Table Pizza, 530 Main St. Main Street will be closed from St. John to Old Bernal, beginning at 5 p.m.

Special education awards
The Tri-Valley Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA) presented the 2005 "You Make A Difference" awards to 12 community members during a recent ceremony.
The awards honored members of the community who had gone "above and beyond" to make a difference in the lives of special needs children.
This year's award winners were Marion Carr, Joan Doppler, Rick Farro, Kim Hanker, Kim Hunt, Heather Kit, Pam Osnaya, Terri Roberts, Judy Smith, Nancy Tiedemann and John Whitney.
Benefit to raise money for children's charities
Benefit to raise money for children's charities
(May 27, 2005) The third annual Wine $ Roses event to benefit children's charities will take place from 3:30-6 p.m. June 12 at The Rose Hotel, 807 Main Street, and on the patio of the Pleasanton Hotel next door.
Wine from local wineries such as Mitchell Katz Winery at Ruby Hill, hors d'oeuvres and music are available for $30 in advance, and, if still available, $35 at the door. The tickets will be on sale at the two hotels. To date, the Livermore Valley Winegrowers Foundation has donated more than $1.75 million to Bay Area children's charities.

SF concert planned by Concert Band
The Pleasanton Community Concert Band will perform in a Memorial Day ceremony on May 30 at the Presidio of San Francisco. The ceremony is scheduled from 10 a.m. to noon. In addition to San Francisco, the band will perform at the May 28 Las Positas College commencement tomorrow, and at the Sacramento Valley Symphonic Band Association Festival on June 5.
