(April 01, 2005) What was your most memorable April Fools' Day?
Asked at the Jelly Donut
Kristina Dunworth
Fourth-grader, Walnut Grove Elementary
April Fools' is all year around for us. One year when my grandma came to visit we put "out of order" signs on all the bathrooms, except one. We put cellophane underneath the toilet seat on that one and when she went to use it, she freaked out.

When I was about 15 years old, my dad and I were in the garage, and he put rubber cement on my face and made it look like I was cut really bad. So then my dad started screaming that I had fallen and cut my face. My mom saw it and freaked out pretty good.
Casey Popick
Eighth-grader, Harvest Park Middle School
Last April Fools' I told all my friends I was moving, and my friend went to school and told everyone I had left already. Then I showed up. It was pretty funny.

My sisters and I put salt in the sugar bowl. Then my father went to eat his cereal and put a whole bunch of salt on his cereal. The look on his face was priceless. I think I ended up raking leaves for that one, but we didn't care, it was worth it.

I've broken a lot of bones in the past, so one April Fools' Day I was dirt bike riding, so my mom called my grandmother and told her I had broken my arm. She really freaked out.
