Streetwise Streetwise (March 11, 2005)

Is Martha Stewart a more interesting public figure to you now that she's "done time"? Asked at Raley's Supermarket

Drew Agnew
Dolores Drive
No. She's never been an interesting character to me at all. She lied, she was guilty, and that's what she went to jail for. There was no example made of her, as some say.

Donna Nickolopoulos
Stoneridge Mall Road
I think she's really interesting, not because she's committed a crime but because of what she's done for herself. I respect her because she's worked hard and even though a few things have gone wrong for her, she is an independent lady who's done well and doesn't need to beg her husband for money.

Marla Silversmith
Sierrawood Drive
I think that she's more disappointing. She got caught and did her time, so now it is time for her to come back, but I am disappointed. I had thought of her as a female role model and now I am disappointed that she broke the law.

Gary Kohler
Sandalwood Drive
Yes, slightly more interesting, just because that adds a new wrinkle to someone who was already famous. But I'm not interested in the constant news about her.

Pam Azevedo
Bunker Lane
Yes, I think that it is interesting that she was able to take a bad situation and come out on top. Leave it to Martha to make lemonade when given lemons. -Compiled by Sandy Christman
