2005 board introduced at annual dinner

Mike Madden, owner of Red Bear Inc. and a downtown property owner and businessman, has been named president of the Pleasanton Downtown Association for 2005.

Madden took office at the organization's annual dinner, where Judy Wheeler Ditter, owner of Towne Center Books, was named president-elect. Other PDA officers for the current year are Bernie Billen, Valley Community Bank, who has been named the PDA board secretary and chair of the Promotions Committee, and Janet Yarbrough, a Certified Public Accountant, who was named board treasurer. Downtown lawyer Peter MacDonald also will continue on the board as the immediate past president of the organization.

Other board members for the coming year include Darryl Alexander, Alexander & Associates; Chris Beratlis, Beratlis Enterprises; and Mike Carey, Investment Real Estate Co.
