What should America's role be in aiding the victims of the Indian Ocean tsunami? Asked at Trader Joe's

Katharine Oakley
Calle Altamira
I think we should give as much aid as possible. We are sending men over and supplies, but it's important we get them to the people who need it.

Thomas DeBenning
Stoneridge Mall Road
Well, two things. First, we should give as much help as possible. It's actually cheaper to help people than to do other things with our money.

Debra Lambert
Milleford Court
I think we should lend our scientific expertise and disaster relief expertise. We learned a lot from the 9/11 tragedy, and we also learned how to rebuild.

Carrie Bruin
Tamur Court
We have plenty of resources, financially and through the American Red Cross and other organizations. We have earthquake-trained dogs, and I think we should help as much as we can.

Rajni Shah
Via De Los Cerros
I think at this stage the U.S. should take a lead in coordinating the relief effort. There are so many countries involved. We need a country like the United States to coordinate such a massive project. -Compiled by Sandy Christman
