What do you think is the most important issue in this election? Asked on Main Street

Gary Reeves
Staying with friends in Dublin
Work. Jobs. Companies have left the country. Lots of people are out of work. I'm a union electrician, from Louisiana. I worked for awhile in Hawaii, but now I'm here looking for a job.

Camille Lipscomb
Orloff Drive
Locally, solving the traffic problem in Pleasanton. That's what I would like to see. Nationally, it's definitely the war situation.

Trevor Girard
Stoneridge
The most important issue is probably the war in Iraq. If I were an American that would be the first thing on my mind. But I am Canadian.

Caroline Wood
Moraga
There's Iraq, there's education. I don't think we can even have an election unless we get George Bush out of office. We've lost enough of our young people. We need to bring them home safely without bringing more chaos to Iraq.

Frank Jurik
Adams Way
I think it's the war in Iraq. I can't support either candidate's view on that issue.
