Who dares walk haunted halls?
(October 22, 2004) Haunted Pirate Ship open tonight
by Teresa C. Brown
Swab the decks, feed the parrot and come out for some Blue Beard and creepy Captain Cook fun as the Pleasanton Parks and Community Services Department opens its haunted house doors tonight with the Haunted Pirate Ship from 5:30-10 p.m. at the Amador Recreation Center, 4455 Black Ave., behind the aquatic center. Time slots are scheduled at every half hour through 10 p.m.
In its third year, this year's spooky entertainment includes scenes from the Pirates of the Caribbean and other classic pirate tales that will chill brave adventurers who dare to walk through the house's darkened halls.
After a delightfully frightful tour, there is more haunted house fun with craft projects and treats. Everyone is encouraged to dress in a favorite Halloween costume.
Door tickets are $5 per person; children under 3 are admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Children under 9 should attend during the first three time slots.
