Three receive Eagle Scout awards
(August 27, 2004) Scouts Jonathan Mark Perakis, Robert Edward DeFeo Jr. and Teigan Ryan Sabhlok from Boy Scout troop 943 are scheduled to receive their Eagle Scout Awards at their Court of Honor tomorrow night at Lynnewood United Methodist Church. The rank of Eagle is the highest in scouting and requires a minimum of 21 merit badges. Each young man must also plan, develop and lead others in a service project benefiting the community. Perakis designed and constructed a storage shed for the Foothill High School Robotics Club to house its supplies and large equipment. DeFeo designed and constructed four planter boxes with irrigation for Vintage Hills Elementary. Sabhlok reprogrammed, repaired and installed 25 personal computers donated by Business Pro for Vintage Hills.
