Streetwise Streetwise (April 09, 2004)

Did you see "The Passion of the Christ" and what did you think of it? Asked at Main Street and Angela

Jim Doxsee
Abbie Street
I thought it was a pretty good movie. I heard before seeing it that it was violent, and it was, but it wasn't just senseless violence, it was to make a point.

Kelly Bilinesky
Corte Venado
I thought it was a great movie and I just hope people don't stop there. I hope it encourages people to search further for the truth. I hope it's a catalyst for knowing God deeper. It's the first visual way to know the gospel that's come along.

Uriel Martinez
Owens Drive
It was great. I think the movie shows all the values that we have lost with the times and gives us an opportunity to be reborn in ourselves.

Joan Smith
Pleasanton
When the reviews came out they said it was violent but it wasn't as violent as "Terminator" or "S.W.A.T." Maybe because it was focused on one individual people probably thought it was too violent but it wasn't relative to other movies. I think everybody should see it - the message came through. Especially in this day and age, people need to be more caring and considerate toward one another.

Gerry Romero
Fremont
It was overdone - the passion itself. Otherwise it was great. But there was too much pain; he couldn't have survived the pain. I know it's a movie but the portrayal was overdone, they didn't have to do that. But I would see it again.
