Coonan to leave PPIE post Coonan to leave PPIE post (January 30, 2004)

Leslie Coonan, a local Realtor, has resigned her position as executive director of the Pleasanton Partnerships in Education (PPIE) Foundation, effective May 31. Coonan, who took the job as interim director 3-1/2 years ago, was later named to the full-time position of the nonprofit organization. In that period, the PPIE Foundation has raised tens of thousand of dollars in direct contributions of money, materials and services for Pleasanton schools.

Coonan, who said she is leaving the post to devote more time to her real estate practice, said those interested in interviewing for the job should call the PPIE at 846-5620.

Also searching for a new executive director is the Pleasanton Downtown Association. The PDA board, working in conjunction with the city of Pleasanton staff, reviewed several candidates, but decided none met the needs of the organization. A new search is under way.
