Unique Veterans Day seminar comes to vet hall

Come to the Veterans Memorial Building on Nov. 11 for a unique Veterans Day Seminar, sponsored by three veterans groups.

David A. Morehouse, author of "Psychic Warrior: Inside the CIA's Psychic Espionage Program," will conduct a seminar of "Homeland Defense: What You Should Know and Do." It will address the military espionage application of "remote viewing," which laymen call psychic spying; how these techniques are being used; and how people can enhance their intuitive natures to protect their families and the Constitution.

Pleasanton organizer retired Air Force Col. Robert Frank said Morehouse's seminars are fascinating. "The people who ask the questions are as interesting as he is," he noted.

Morehouse is a former Army major, who served with a controversial intelligence collection unit under the Defense Intelligence Agency, according to his Web site. After five years in the intelligence world, in July 1992 he was made second in command of a battalion of the 82nd Airborne Division, and in August 1993 he was one of three majors responsible for 13,000 paratroopers.

But six months into this assignment, court martial charges were filed against him for his plans to write "Psychic Warrier." In November 1994, with his career military father by his side, he resigned his commission and was given an "other than honorable" discharge after 18 years.

Since then he has written "Psychic Warrior," "Nonlethal Weapons: War Without Death," and "The Deceivers." In 1997 he formed Remote Viewing Technologies, a company to train police officers in remote viewing.
