Christopher Lewis Krob

Christopher Lewis Krob, a three-year resident of Pleasanton, died March 24 at the age of 34 from complications of a lifelong illness.

A graduate of the University of Pacific with degrees in mathematics and in art, Krob had worked for the last year with MCI as an analyst.

He leaves his wife of 10 years, Athena Watson; his parents, Ken Krob of Los Angeles and Brenda Leah Krob of Benicia; brothers, Ken of Benicia, John of Aurora, Colo., and James of Mesa, Ariz.; and sister, Jennifer Brown of San Bernadino.

A memorial service was held March 30 at Muirwood Community Park in Pleasanton. Interment was private.

Memorial gifts may be sent to a memorial fund that has been established on behalf of Christopher Krob at Valley Community Bank, P.O. Box 1497, Pleasanton, CA 94566. Contrina Cautiverio Schmitz

Contrina Cautiverio Schmitz, who moved to Pleasanton three weeks ago, died March 27 in her home at the age of 23.

Schmitz was an assistant teacher for Fountainhead Montessori for four months. She leaves her husband of one year, Jeff Schmitz; her son, Anthony Schmitz; parents, Alfred Cautiverio of Oakland and Geraldine Cautiverio of Livermore; in-laws, James and Marge Schmitz of Livermore; brother, Alfredo Cautiverio of Livermore; sister, Rosalina Cautiverio of San Leandro; grandparents, Henry Albarico of Tracy and Rosario Cautiverio of Dublin; as well as many aunts and uncles.

Her grandparents, Floroncio Cautiverio and Beatrice Murphy, died last year.

Services were held at Callaghan Mortuary in Livermore with a visitation and vigil held March 30. Interment was private.

The family asks that memorial gifts be sent to a trust fund established on behalf of her son at Wells Fargo Bank of Livermore, #6242019180. Bill Novak Jr.

Bill Novak Jr., a 30-year resident of Pleasanton and native of Oakland, died April 2 at the age of 58.

An automobile painter for McCollough Chevrolet for 30 years, Novak was a member of the Automobile Painter Union Local #1176 in Oakland and of the Cedar Grove Community Church in Livermore. He also served in the Navy from 1959 to 1964.

He leaves his wife of 35 years, Bonnie Novak; son, Ron Novak of Antioch; mother, Jane Novak of Eatonville, Wash.; sister, Michelle Cunningham also of Eatonville, Wash.; and two grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Novak of Antioch.

Novak's father, William Walter Novak Sr., died in 1993.

A visitation was held April 6 at Graham-Hitch Mortuary in Pleasanton, with a graveside service the following day.

Interment is at the Pleasanton Memorial Gardens cemetery.

The family asks that memorial gifts be sent to the Valley Crisis Pregnancy Center, 7660 Amador Valley Blvd., Dublin, CA 94568. Ruth Anne Longridge

Ruth Anne Longridge, a five-year resident of Pleasanton born in Wakefield, England, died at her home on April 4 at the age of 42. She died from complications of a long illness.

Longridge is a graduate of Wakefield College, England, and a member of St. Clare's Episcopal Church.

She leaves her husband of 13 years, Chris Longridge of Pleasanton; daughter, Emma Jayne Longridge of Pleasanton; parents, Harold and Patricia Littlewood of Wakefield, England; brother, David Michael Littlewood of Wakefield, England; and sister, Susan Jane Hemingway of Wakefield, England.

A memorial service was held April 6 at St. Clare's Episcopal Church, Pleasanton.

Her cremated remains will be kept in Pleasanton and in Wakefield, England.

The family asks that memorial gifts be sent to St. Clare's Episcopal Church Memorial Fund, 3350 Hopyard Road, Pleasanton, CA 94588.
