Nearly 100 animal advocates from across the state, including about a dozen from the Tri-Valley, met with legislators in Sacramento this month to talk about animal welfare bills that seek to address a myriad of issues including illegal cockfighting, the overpopulation of cats and dogs and coexistence with wildlife.
