Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

There are three stages of life for women: maiden, mother and wise woman. We’ll talk about wise women opportunities and transitions; physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

The wise woman stage of life is one in which many women come into their own power and desires; and find out what you want after caring for others much of your life. It can be a time to find one’s path, spiritual or otherwise. You have the chance to let go of outdated behaviors (e.g., pleasing, etc.)

There are many physical changes with menopause (e.g., no longer fertile, no menstruation, relief at not having to be concerned with unplanned pregnancy), changes to libido and sex life, physiological changes such as hot flashes, discomfort, dryness, and sleep.

Post-menopause may be “sandwich” time for you. Are your kids launched? What’s happening with your parents?

What changes are happening between you and your beloved during these changes? How is it affecting your relationship?

What concerns do you have about aging? Are you fighting it? Accepting it?

How are you caring for yourself differently now?

Join us in a group of six women who are also wise women. We will talk about whatever is on your minds and in your hearts.

Requirements:

Weekly commitment for three months. I will be interviewing each of you to ensure the group is cohesive. If there is a call for it, I’ll open a second group.

This women’s group will offer a supportive and encouraging space to explore your strengths as well as your pain and fears.

Our goal: To have a comfortable place to talk all things menopause/wise-woman, to improve relationships, first with yourself and secondly with everyone else in your life, to practice healthy communication, boundaries, self-esteem, strengths, loss and grief, create community in the group, and try new ways of thinking in a comfortable place.

Group Members:
* All women welcome
* Closed group; no drop-ins accepted
* Age: Menopause and post-menopause
* Individual therapy may be encouraged, but not required
* Call for a screening interview
