Well, yes, in a way. Dr. Jim Delano of the Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center is hosting a "meet and greet on behalf of Steve at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Clinic, 2000 Bishop Ranch Drive, San Ramon." City Councilman Harry Sachs is co-hosting the event this Thursday, May 7th at 7 pm.
Harry's emailed invitation invites voters interested in meeting Mr. Glazer. "I want to personally invite you to meet with Steve Glazer, candidate for State Senate.
Next Thursday, May 7th at 7pm, Dr. Jim Delano and myself will be hosting a meet and greet on behalf of Steve at Bishop Ranch Veterinary Clinic, 2000 Bishop Ranch Drive, San Ramon.
We are endorsing Steve because he fits the Tri-Valley's centrist political orientation. Steve Glazer is a reform-minded, fiscally conservative public servant who knows state government's complex policy issues better than most.
As a city council member, I support his efforts to reform state pensions further and support public safety. As a classroom teacher, I support his efforts in making higher education accessible to all Californians. As a working parent, I support his pledge to not raise taxes further.
Don't let this election go to the dogs!
Please join Jim and myself to meet and listen to Steve talk about issues that affect all of us.
Kindly RSVP by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Jim and I look forward to seeing you. "
I can't make it that night, even though I will be dropping my cats off at the Bishop Ranch Veterinary Center on May 5th for boarding. That's if I can catch them all. One of them knows something is up and has been hiding. I know where she's hiding, but if I try to grab her she will just move away and hide somewhere else.
Another one is starting to get suspicious. She isn't hiding, but she won't let me get too close to her. The other two are lumps and easy to catch. I need to catch them all and take them to BR for my annual trip to Maine. My brother is celebrating his 75th birthday and of course Mother's Day is this weekend.
If I can't get all of the cats to Bishop Ranch tomorrow, my neighbor Sally said she'd check on them while I'm away. I'll be back the following week, in time for the election.
I don't use a mail in ballot. I prefer to go to the polling place and vote in person. I plan to vote for Steve Glazer so I'm sorry I will miss the "meet and greet". At least my cats will be in attendance.
