Cleanup shows character
Dear Editor,
Thanks to the father and young son that were observed cleaning up litter remaining at Harvest Community Park on Harvest Road following the fireworks display on July 2. They took time and personal responsibility to beautify our community park for the neighborhood and all that would pass by the park. It was a beautiful demonstration of the civic responsibility, patriotism and character that we stand for in Pleasanton.
Such lessons learned by our children can never be duplicated in any other setting or institution. The memory and the positive feelings derived will foster integrity in the life of a young future community leader.
