Dear Editor,

I was offended by your use of the word "other" in reference to the Horizon and Village grads ("Pleasanton's 'other' grads celebrate, too," June 18, 2010). Why should they be singled out as different from the graduates of Foothill or Amador Valley? I am sure their graduation meant as much to them and their families as any other graduates and maybe more considering some of the obstacles they have overcome! I have no students in Pleasanton schools, but if I had a graduate that you singled out as an "other" I would be very disappointed with your coverage.
