Celebrate 'Art Made Easy'
Class works on exhibit at Senior Center
Pleasanton artist Charlotte Severin has been teaching watercolor classes for almost two decades with her "Art Made Easy" lessons offered through the city. This week, the public can view the creations from 2009-10 classes along with paintings by Severin herself.
The 16th annual "Celebrating Art Made Easy" will have an opening reception from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 3, at the Pleasanton Senior Center, 5353 Sunol Blvd. Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
The exhibit includes plein air paintings, which is work done on location, as well as flowers, still lifes, and figures done from live models. There are also experimental works on yupo, a synthetic paper, machine-made in the USA of 100% polypropylene, and crumpled rice paper, as well as collage.
In addition to the opening reception, the exhibit will be open 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m. May 4-6; and 9 a.m.-noon May 7.
