San Ramon man arrested for alleged sexual abuse of Pleasanton girl
Pleasanton police arrested a 22-year-old San Ramon man Wednesday for child molestation of a young girl from the time she was 6 years old until she was 9.
Sgt. Jim Knox said Robert Turner was recently arrested in San Ramon and booked at Santa Rita jail in Dublin for "continual sexual abuse of a child." This charge requires evidence of at least three acts of the crime over a time period of three or more months with a child who is 14 years old or younger.
Knox said the girl is from Pleasanton and the incidents occurred in Pleasanton.
The victim of the crime is now 15 and recently revealed the incidents to a school counselor.
If Turner is convicted, he could face a sentence of up to 16 years in prison, Knox said.
