Storms power through Pleasanton

Bookmark and Share
Two large trees keeled over on Valley Avenue Wednesday just west of Santa Rita Road, victims of this week's stormy weather which featured record rainfall and wind gusts. The Coastal Redwood and spruce trees, planted next to each other, tore into a cinderblock wall on Valley. Because the trees are on private property, the owner is responsible for the rest of their removal, city spokeswoman Joanne Hall said, adding that the sound wall is city-owned and they will work with the owners to discuss its repair.
