Scholarships available for college-bound students

Dowd and Guild Inc. seeks community-focused candidates

Bookmark and Share
Students heading to college and who have a heart for serving the community are encouraged to apply for scholarships offered by Dowd and Guild Inc. The specialty chemical distributor in San Ramon has awarded scholarships since 1998. To date the group has given $86,000 and over 80 scholarships.

Candidates are described as having a strong commitment to educational goals and actively participating in school leadership and volunteer activities, as well as extracurricular activities. Graduating high school seniors and college students in need are welcome to download an application from the company's Web site: www.dowdandguild.com/community.html.

To learn more about the scholarship, contact Christie Becker at 820-7222. Scholarships are awarded throughout the year, so there is no deadline and it is never too late to apply.
