NO on Prop 30! This is JUST federal Income taxes. Consider all of the other ways in which you are taxed, double taxed, even triple taxed. Yes triple taxed. Through the simple action of having a job, a savings account, and making a taxable purchase, something many of us do daily! You are taxed on your income, taxed on any interest you earn on your savings, and taxed a third time if you use that money to make a taxable purchase.
And when you make a purchase, you are paying an additional pass through tax, in the form of corporate taxes, the US has the HIGHEST rates in the world. Do the corporations have a magic tax account that money shows up in? No, that is factored in to the price you pay for the product. You, the customer, pays their taxes.
And all of the fees that have gone into effect and/or increased. College fees for students, fees to use parks, waterways, hunt, fish, court fees (gotten a ticket lately? ), etc, etc.
California, you know we already pay some of the highest taxes in the country, now the Governor wants us to approve HIGHER taxes for everyone, via a sales tax increase which hits some of those least able to pay. So NO on Prop 30, the government already takes enough from the taxpayers. From ALL of the taxpayers.
We are, indeed, TAXED ENOUGH ALREADY!
NO on Prop 30.
