The newest published API scores show Pleasanton Unified really slipping when ranked with similar schools. This ranking is the true test of how well a district is doing when compared to schools that are demographically similar. We have lots of 2/10 and 3/10 schools now. Amador has sunken to a 6/10.
I am not going to propose a theory as to the cause of this problem but simply state that it is a problem and should be fixed if we hope to maintain our high property values.
