Amador girls softball team to 'Play for a Cure' game today

The girls varsity softball team at Amador Valley High School will hold its first Annual "Play for a Cure" game this afternoon on the school's softball fields. Coach Teresa Borchard said the game is being dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness.

Congrats, Coach Julie and Teresa for teaching these young women that there are more important issues in life than playing the game of softball. Well done!

The game will start at 4:00. Pregame activities start at 3:30. There will be tri-tip sandwiches, hot dogs, chili dogs, and a bake sale. All proceedes will go to the Susan B. Komen research fund.
