Union Pacific Train Stopped on the Tracks Thursday Evening

Original post made by Candyland on Mar 11, 2010

Does anyone know why the Union Pacific train stopped in the middle of the intersection last night (Thursday, evening, March 11)? I hope no one was on the tracks. That would be so awful and so sad.

I think that the train got caught up with a missing link and then go confused about which way to candiland?

Nice comment "Cholo". I am a concerned resident and you always have negative comments about everything. In case your memory has already faded, we lost a young 14 year old girl on those track on Friday, February 19 that still weighs heavily in my thoughts.

This is pretty funny stuff. Thank you for reaffirming that most all you Californians are whacky avocadoes!

Okay, back to the train. Probably was waiting for space further on down the track and did not realize it had not cleared the last crossing entirely. Happens quite often. Usually a nice public servant will call back to Omaha and tell the train control center to have the train move up and clear the intersection. No big deal.
