Video of local artist Gary Winter painting the mural that now graces the side of Strizzi's restaurant on Main Street is up on His son compiled shots of the progress, turning the months-long project into a minute and 16 seconds.

I have never liked the mural since day one. None of it is in perspective, there is no horse track that close to the hills and it looks like it was done by kids. How much did the city pay to have this put up?

I like the mural a lot, and enjoy looking at it. It has a folk art quality that seems appropriate for the location. The fact that it's not overly sophisticated helps me to not notice the door too much.

As someone who has lived in Pleasanton all my life, and who's family has lived here since it was the small town represented in the mural, the mural represents what used to be and people need to respect that and take it for what it's worth. It is a great piece of artwork and is a great representation of what Pleasanton was once like. I, for one, wish it was more like the mural.

I liked the video. That was cool! Also, the mural is a nice touch
to a boring blank wall. Would like to see more in town. Thank you...
