(Caveat) I am looking for rational discussion here and NOT partisan attacks PLEASE!
A)N. Korea has not only tested several NUKES, but has publicly said it would pursue it's nuclear ambitions full scale and has blatantly threatened the U.S. several times.
* Although I did NOT like Bush or his policy, I SERIOUSLY DOUBT that N. Korea would have pulled this over the BUSH & Co. Bush WOULD have taken ACTION I think?
B) Iran had a RIGGED election, resulting in the DICTATOR staying in power, and this has resulted in the public slaughter of those who oppose this mad man! Having him in power for the next several years, poses a major challenge to any rational talks with Iran. This guy poses a MAJOR DANGER to the U.S. just as BUSH said many times. Obama wants to talk to the guy? Obama has sugar coated his reaction to the rigged election as well as the slaughter and aftermath of the election. Adminijad is NOW openly accusing the U.S. as being the CAUSE of this unrest!
C) We are pulling our troops out of all major cities in IRAQ in a few DAYS no matter what. according to Obama and the IRAQ gov. There has been a MAJOR increase in attacks and public bombing as such this last month. So the question really is, WHAT GOOG have we actually done in Iraq? Iraq, the war we went into upon deceit from Bush & Co. has been one of the biggest single factors in our financial demise here in the U.S.
D) Afghanistan! We have increased troop by the THOUSANDS as OBAMA promised! The situation in AFGHANISTAN is FAR WORSE these past months than ANY OTHER time in this country! So, what good are we really doing there?
E)We the TAX PAYERS have BAILED out and TAKEN OVER banks, the auto industry, the insurance industry and perhaps the health care industry soon. All at a cost that we will NEVER be able to PAY!
We are so in debt as a nation, the we could easily face FORECLOSURE! CALIFORINA is in FORECLOSUE as of July 15th! The GOV says the CA is "on it's own" even though we are the most populated state and have contributed MORE Federal TAXES to the system over the years, than any other state.
F) The national and state unemployment rates are sky high, with NO end in sight! Self explanatory.
Feel FREE to comment on any area A-E, but PLEASE leave out finger pointing and blame. Perhaps solution focused discussion would be beneficial here. I am CONCERNED!

I do want to remind myself perhaps, that Obama did inherit an absolute mess, with NO easy solutions.
I agree that Clinton & Co. did start the ball rolling as far as the housing and sub prime banking debacle.
However, it seems to me that BUSH had zero focus on national concerns for eight years. he was truly a military focues guy.
Chaney had a MAJOR vested interest in the war with his Halliburton ties! That was a major conflict of interest to say the very least.
Obama said openly, not to expect miracles and that this MESS would take time, as well as trial and error. There was and still is no easy solution that anyone on this earth can come up with and implement.
I truly believe that Obama is sincerely listening to the "experts" and is doing as good as anyone could at this point. I also feel that the political arena is so saturated with corruption and deceit, that we could not find a totally straight up politician if our lives depended on them, AND our livelihood does depend on them! UG1 Double UG!

Well The presidents "dictators" of both North Korea as well as Iran are certainly calling the shots lately. I do agree that Bush would have taken a different approach. I am not at all certain the approach Bush may have taken, based upon his aggressive nature, that it would have proven healthy for our nation. Remember we narrowly escaped WAR "invading" Iran last year. That would have been a further mess we can not afford, or can we?
We all know about N.Korea's threats. here an article from today about the Iran Presidents comments to Obama. A chess game perhaps, as usual?
Obama wrote secretly to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, before the election, Iranian sources confirmed Wednesday. See photos from post-election violence »
Obama said Tuesday that Iran's government must justify itself not in the eyes of the United States, but in the opinion of its own people.
"A sizable percentage of the Iranian people themselves ... consider this election illegitimate," he said at a White House news conference.
"It is not too late for the Iranian government to recognize that there is a peaceful path that will lead to stability and prosperity," he said. "We hope they take it." Timeline of election violence »
Ahmadinejad said Thursday that even 5- and 6-year-olds would not allow insults to the Iranian nation, telling Obama: "We hope that you will avoid interfering in Iran's affairs and somehow express your regret so that the Iranian nation can become aware of your regret. If there is real change, the Iranian nation will welcome it."
