Uncanny Prediction in 1974

Original post made by Jim, Bordeaux Estates, on Apr 19, 2009

I grew up in a family of democrats and was told that the John Birch Society was harmful to America. Boy, this short 1974 videoclip of the Founder of this society is quite accurate in his predications of what is happening with the current Obama administration!

Wow--great stuff! The most eye-opening information was the revelations of things I didn't even know were going on, like rampant inflation, complete government control of prices, and the use of mind control via additives to our country's green vegetable supply.

What about the international communist conspiracy to impurify all of our precious bodily fluids? Have you heard of fluoridation or water? The foreign substance is introduced without the knowledge, and certainly without the consent of the individual. This ultimately leads to a loss of essence. That's how your hard core communist works. ;-)

Doesn't this comment from the web link seem to be a contradiction? "Welch understood the 'international Communist plot' …worldwide socialist or collectivist revolution in the name of a small number of elite bankers." Assuming that every thing I read about communism and socialism was not published by this world-wide conspiracy, I would say that Robert Welch was a bit off the rocker. Banking and communism are at odds with each other. Sure, they needed each other just like Hitler needed Switzerland, but I would hardly say the failed communist revolution was started and maintained by a "small number of elite bankers."

Welch just copied others works and was great with marketing. Although I actually understand and agree with nearly everything he says it was absolutely nothing new. You can read treatises and newspaper columns going back to just before the start of the 20th century that are striking similar to what he said.

For example, (1) substitute communism for Bolshevism. (2) "Leave American alone…" Well, that's what the Republican non-interventionists wanted in the late 1930's through 1941, and you saw what we got for it.

Sorry, but "...newspaper columns going back to just before the start of the 20th century " should have read just AFTER the start of the 20th century.

To AVHS dad, in the seventies I had a poster of a native American that said "better red then dead." Forgot all about that one. Thanks for the memories.
