I recently met Brock at a Human Services meeting and was greatly impressed with his compassion, intelligence and desire to do the right things.

I agree completely with this honor bestowed on Brock. I served with him on the Human Services Comm. for awhile and his leadership and manor was always filled with compassion. He also has a great sense of humor.

I don't know Mr. Roby but I know he is the current Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce here in Pleasanton. I can't help but make the connection to recently elected Jerry Thorne and his promise to cow tow to local businesses, now starting with this award. Politics run amuck!

In our churches all around the world, Brock was the only church leader to build a church to a thousand followers and he had the longest tenure at one church without being moved. To this day he is still revered in Hawaii as a man that has done great things for God. Unfortunately he was treated horribly by leaders when he came to our San Francisco sister church. That took it's toll, he got depressed, and moved on out of the ministry. And that was for the better because clearly God is using him elsewhere to make a difference in the world. Here's to a man I have deep respect for!
